Hi

I'm not sure if anyone can help but here goes: I work in a hospital that transcribes via Word which is launched via the ADT system, Meditech. There are many different computers linked on the hospital network. How can AutoText entries for oft used drug and medical terms be synchronized so that when updated, it updates to all computers? Is this even possible? Thanks.

Yes it can be done. All the Autotext entries should be saved in a template (Drugs.dot) other your Normal.dot. Place the template (Drugs.dot) in a network drive. Point to that location for Workgroup files (Tools/Options/File Locations)

Hi HD21

Sorry for the delay in posting again! Your answer is helpful but I have some more questions! Currently, there are already different templates for different report types i.e. a consult would be consult.tmp. Does your suggestion affect that at all or is the "template" for AutoText different from the other templates?

Thanks,

Shelby
