Does anyone know an easy way to make a powerpoint presentation cd autorun for a customer?

Modify an autorun.inf file to point to the presentation on the CD, save it, then burn it to the CD with the presentation.

I think this may work...

Make a text file and call it "autorun.inf", then insert the following text into it:

[autorun]
open=Presentation.ppt

Put the "autorun.inf" file on the cd with the powerpoint presentation, and if the computer/CD-ROM support autorun, then it should start up the presentation inside of powerpoint.

If that does not work, you can autorun a VBS (visual basic script) file that calls powerpoint and loads the presentation.

is there a way to force it to use a viewer that is burnt onto the cd w/ the presentation....powerpoint xp's viwer for example?

It will automatically open in PowerPoint as long as Powerpoint is loaded on the machine you are using the CD on.

But what if I made the presentation in XP and want to force the user to see it in XP so all the animations will work properly?

you can open the viewer from the CD with a parameter... something like:

[autorun]
open=XPpptViewer.exe presentation.ppt
