Since yesterday on starting my computer I get the message Autoprotect driver could not be loaded. Your computer is not protected from viruses. Please restart your computer.

Of course, when I restart, I get the same message. Any ideas?

I would manually uninstall then reinstall. If you uninstall from Control Panel it won't flush the registry entries and the problem will likely come back. Symantec has proceedures for manually uninstalling depending on the version you're running.

I'm having the same problem with my daughter's computer.
Did you get this fixed and if so, what procedures did you use for uninstall/reinstall?
Thanks.
