I am attempting to autorun an .mpg file burned to a CD. The idea is, whenever somebody puts the CD into their CD-ROM, the movie file will play automatically. I've constructed the following in an autorun.inf file on the CD:

[purple]
[autorun]
open=wmplayer.exe /play /close zbc.mpg
[/purple]

Currently, upon insert, Windows Media Player opens with the specified file but it does not play. I've seen several programs like WinOpen ( but I'm curious if there's a way to play the movie without purchasing additional software.

Thanks for the help,

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll check out this app.

Thanks again,

I installed the software and created the .inf file. I did tell the software to autoplay my file but, as with the .inf I wrote manually, Windows Media Player opens the correct .mpg but does not play it.

Any other suggestions?
