I'm trying to set up a combo box to utilize as a look up function to find records based on what I select from the drop down. However, when I go to add the box in design view, the wizard opens and gives me this error:

Combo Box Wizard

Automation error
The specified module could not be found.

I don't know why this is happening. Everything worked perfectly fine the past few days. I reloaded MS Access 2000 and it still doesn't work. If it's any help, the table I'm pulling the info from is split but that never mattered before in any other DB's I created.

Thanks in advance for the help

Not sure what happened but I would work you thru the manual method if you will post what you want to do with the tables and etc. It is not that tough.

This has happended to me on occasion and the only way I've been able to make the wizard work is to create a new form from scratch. It appears to be some hiccup with the underlying code of the form and once screwed up it won't allow you to use it regardless of what you do.

As mentioned by Rolliee you could add a standard text box to the form and then convert it to a combo box by using the "change to" menu selection under format.
