Automating Notes 5x client configuration

Is it possible to automate the Notes client configuration, but still be asked what server you want to connect to and the location of your ID file?

I am looking for the same thing, I remember years ago reading about how you can edit the pernames.ntf so that the location is already in there and ready to go. Trying to do a bit more research right now. Will post what I find.
