Automating IIS

OK- I'm new to this whole thing, but I need some answers ASAP.

We have a HUGE project that is due in 2 weeks. Part of this project is giving all of our users 3rd level domains (subdomains) on our NT box. This could be over 50,000 total! As you could guess, doing this manually through IIS is not an option. Is there a way to automate the entire process? We are also using a SQL 7 db (if that helps). Any pointers on direction for this is a HUGE help!

Did you ever figure out how to do this? I also need to figure this out, as I need to automate adding them when users sign up for the service.
