Automatically update a table with data from another table 1

Hi-
I have two tables....When data is entered into the first table, I'd like the data to automatically copy into the second table...BUT, I'd like to control this function using a command button. Is there a simple code out there that I could attach to an even on the command button? I'm somewhat new to Access, so go easy! Thanks a lot!

How about an append Query ran by command button---Do you have an input date on the first table?

It is considered bad "form" to add empty records to your database. Not only is it unneccessary, it is a waste of database real estate.

What purpose will this serve? We may be able to better assist you if we knew what you're trying to accomplish.

Hey-
I'm trying to design a system for users (who don't have a lot of Access experience) where they can import their tables into my database, then cut and paste their fields into my table.....I want that table to update to another table that is going to be used to send the records somewhere else. I either want the records to do it automatically, or even better, have a control on a button that the user can push when they are ready to transfer data to the other table. I have the second table in there because I want them to be able to then erase the data they imported into my first table, so it is ready for the next user.
I know this sounds complicated and weird....I could probably explain it all better if I had more time/space/desire....hope I made myself more clear!
