I am running Crystal v8.5 reporting from a Progress database.
I have eight reports I have to run on a weekly basis to report on incorrectly entered data that needs to be amended. I run these on a Monday to report on data created during the previous seven days (i.e. Monday to Sunday). These reports are never actually printed, I just export them to Word and then paste them into emails.
Six of these reports run fairly quickly but two are very complex and can take up to fifteen minutes to run. This is a pain and also effects other users of the database.
So:
What I would like to achieve is scheduling these reports to run automatically early on Monday morning before anyone starts work.
Please could someone advise as to the best way to achieve this. We sometimes have information entered over the weekend, so the queries will need to be run with the reports on a Monday.
The ideal would be if I could set this up so that they are all run and available by the time I get into work, and are ready either as .rpt files or even better have been exported into Word.
Thanks very much for any help you can give me on this guys.
