HI,
We have a FE-BE Access Database with user level security applied to the front end.
In order to activate the security, I need to set up each front End PC for every single user, to use a work group information file located in the server.
What I am exactly doing now is,asking users to use the "Tools/Security/Work group Administrator" to join themselves to my work group Information file located on the server.
I wonder to know if there is any way to do this automatically, any kind of script or something like that.

Thanks,
Kia

I know that you can use a shortcut to the frontend, and in this shortcut you can specify the specific workgroup file you want to use. This can be particular useful when you have different workgroup files for different mdbs and users opening all of them.

Quick web search found this page:

Jump down about half the page to the section titled "Creating a Shortcut File" I am sure there are more examples out there if you need them.

Hi,
Thanks, I used the short-cut to open the database and it works well.
