Is it possible to automatically insert digits when we receive invound calls...? Example
Customer calls main DID and is prompted to dial a persons extension number (5000-5100). When the customer dials say 5100 would it be possible to insert a 7 infront of the agent ID and route to vdn 75100?
I've played around with the UDP but not really got anywhere at the moment.
Basically I have been asked to give 100 agents their own VDN's (complicated I know). I would like to do this without the customers having to be notified.

Make a change on your trunk group that is carrying those inbound calls. On page 4 of my trunk groups under incoming call handling, I am inserting a leading 3 as my telco only sends me 4 digits and I have a 5 digit dialing plan.

Thanks but I don't think thats really applicable for my situation as the customer is dialling 1 main number and then being prompted in a vector to enter a 4 digit extension number. ICHT on the trunk group form would work if customers were dialing reps DID's but they don't have DID's.

What version are you on? I am quite sure you could do this with vector variables.

We're running on CM2.0. We don't have Vectoring Variables switched on - do you know if this is chargeable?

Not sure, but knowing Avaya it probably is...

You could do this in an IVR of you have that, then pass the digits back to the vector from there.

This is what you need, but i don't know if it available in your system

02 collect 4 digits after announcement xxx for none
03 set digits = digits CATL 7
04 route-to digits with coverage n
05 stop

Thanks jimtr, unfortunatley set is not an option in our vectors. What version allows it?

TykeUK

you are right
you have to be on cm 3 and have "Vectoring(3.0 Enhanced)" assigned.

sorry
