from what I understand, to move a non-acd phone....
from phone enter spre and then FFC (81) and then SRCD code.....unplug phone and plug in new location.....

now what if I have multiple phones? and in features and svc book it states to enter four digit code to identify phone but after i enter spre, ffc, and then srcd, it omits a tone and then extension is gone.
Do i enter code to identify phone before the srcd?

If you are relocating a digital phone and you hear a tone after the SRCD code, the switch can read the serial number of the phone and uses that instead of a 4 digit code.
The 4 digit code after the SRCD code would be required for analog phones.
You can print SRCD data in LD 21.
REQ PRT
TYPE SRCD
The automatic set relocation works pretty well as long as you keep it simple. 1 or 2 phones at a time.

The print command in LD 21 should be:
LD 21
REQ PRT
TYPE SRDT

If i move 2 phones to the table, how do i choose which one to relocate to new place? or does it work first one in list?

Practice on your phone before you try others.
Print LD 21 SRDT data.
Should be nothing on the printout.
Dial SPRE + 81 + SRCD.
Wait for the tone.
Unplug your phone.
Print LD 21 SRDT data.
Should see information from your phone.
Plug your phone in the same location.
Wait for the tone.
Your phone is back.
Print LD 21 SRDT data.
Should be no phone in storage.
If the maintenance terminal is turned on you should see messages showing set relocation when stored and returned.

We use it if 2 people are changing offices.
Dial the SPRE + 81 + SRCD on the first phone.
Wait for the tone.
Unplug the phone.
Go to the second phone.
Dial the SPRE + 81 + SRCD on the 2nd phone.
Wait for the tone.
Unplug the phone.
Count to 10.
Plug the first phone in the second phone original location.
Wait for the tone.
Check dial tone.
Plug the second phone in the first phone original location.
Wait for the tone.
Check dial tone.

The switch can read the serial number on the digital phone. The original programming is stored under that serial number. You can store several phones under their serial number or in the case of analog phones a unique 4 digit code. (use the DN on the analog phone) When you plug in a digital phone, the switch reads the serial number and checks to see if it has programming for that serial number in the SRDT data. If it does, the programming is copied to the TN.

thanks looking too hard ...goes by serail of phone

Every once in a while if you have a flaky phone, it will not read the serial number properly and you have to go into Ld 50 to manually input the serial number. Real pain when it happens.

I have seen Auto set reloc get messed up to many times and then you need Nortel to fix it.I keep it turned off and I either move the crossconnects or software move the TN's.
