Automatic sending of emails to additional user

Our email structure currently is currently setup with "internal only" and "external allowed" users. Internal users have to send any external emails to a department head for QA before being sent on. The same dept head receives all external emails for the given before being passed on to the user.

It has been requested that this system is changed from the above setup to a "department heads just get a copy for reference" setup.

I have enable "alternate recipient" for incoming emails but I`m not sure how to setup an automatic duplicate send to the department head for given users for outgoing emails.

Any clues please?

In the Properties Page of each recipient go to the Delivery Options tab. At the bottom you can choose alternate delivery mailbox and check the deliver to both recipient and alternate.
