Ok here is the deal! I have successfully tied 2 systems together via T1. They are tied together by 8 circuit deemed E&M. I have program, med target lines and received digits so that each location can dial each other via the T1 connecting them. This works flawlessly, however, when I attempt to create a destination code to dial from system A across the tie lines into system B and out on system B local pool A, i get a fast busy. Am attempting this in order to elimate long distance charges from A(Houston, Tx) to system B(Dallas, Tx.). I have programmed destination codes of 9A, 91A in each system with 1 absorbed and it works great for local and long distance out of each perspective system. The problem lies when I try to set a destination code of 91214A to acces the T1(Line pool B) from sytem A. I am absorbing 2 digits in order to elimate the 9,1. The route it uses also is using a dial out of 9 in efforts to access system B destination code for local calls. I continue to get a busy tones; the system will dial the 91214 just fine and it accesses the correct tie lines, but the moment i enter any opart of the office code it kicks me out. Any suggestions, at my wits end!

Jake,

You need to setup a remote package that will allow calls coming from 1 T1 to exit to the PSTN using trunks from another T1 (or pots line)

This is the missing piece to the puzzle.

As salo0920 says, a remote package needs to be applied to the point-point T-1. This must be applied to all trunks for the T-1 connection from site A to site B. You also want to know that the remote package will be applied to the site that has the outgoing trunks..

I hope this helps

Archie
