Hi,

We ran into this very simple problem : whenever you enter or edit in a source cell, the result should pop up in the target cell. But somehow the automatic recalculation was turn off and everytime the user had to press F9 before the spreadsheet would do the calculation. How can I turned it on again? (I still remember how to do it in Lotus: something like a decade ago but this one, I need some help)

Thanks for you input.

Hi there,

Tools, Options, Calculation - Automatic.

Should be cool.

Peter

Tks Pete,

I got it. Wonder if you have any idea how to get one record from a dbase file and split the fields into two rows in a spreadsheet? I have that years before in Lotus by setting up some macros, but now..., probably getting too old to...

I like your saying, but many could see the first half but not the last.

Tks again

Hi again,

Depending on the format of your imported data, you could use Excel's Text to Columns.

You find this by highlighting the column in question, then go to Data, Text to Columns and follow the prompts.

Hope this helps.
