Hi
Our main SQL server database doesnt fully support what we need to do so I've had to create an access front end utilising some tables in the access front end and some in the SQL server database.
Not all users have direct access to our SQL server so those users who need to use it require ODBC links setting up. However, the number of users requiring this is growing and at the moment I have to go to their pc and manually add the ODBC links for that user. If they move machines I then have to do the same for the new machine. this is becoming a really time consuming so this is my question.
Is there a way I can make this part of their logon so when they logon the ODBC link automatically kicks in whatever machine they are on? They would only need read only access.
Thanks in advance for any replies.
