We're running SLMail on an NT server for outside clients. Although SLMail is supposed to be really stable, we've noticed that the POP3 service seems to stop periodically. Of course, no one notices until a client calls and complains. What we'd like to do is have the server page the tech on call anytime the POP3 service stops on this server. Is this possible? If so, any ideas on the easiest (i.e., cheapest) way to implement?

Thanks!

Karen S. There is a great little program called Servers Alive. You can find it at <A HREF=" TARGET="_new"> It can monitor a number of things including services, hdd space, etc. and can notify you via e-mail, pager, sound file, etc.

Eric Lorenzen
MIS Manager
Vierbicher Associates, Inc.
Reedsburg, WI
elor@vierbicher.com
