Hi every one,

We are currently running a new campaing asking the people to call if they need more info, the thing is that a huge amount of those calls are transfered to another location throug PSTN causing each one of those calls use two trunks.

The problem can be solved using Hook-Flash, but then there is the risk off the freedom to dial any where.

What I´d like to know is if there is any way to make the agents transfer the calls to a DN or whatever in order to avoid to program THF in all the phone sets.

No nee to say I´m not very skillful dealing with meridian. Any help will be appreciated.

you can create a maxp 1 acd queue that is NCFW to the pstn number and then they could just xfer to that acdn, doesn't help your trunk situation but shortens the xfer number.

Sorry, if this is a dumb question but, does the xfer release the trunks after transfer the call?

Thanks

the only real way to do this is a network feature called Take Back and Transfer. It does just that. You dial a Spree code or speed dial for lack of better terms and the network Takes the call back and Transfers it to the other center. Otherwise, the transfer is just bridging the call within your PBX (utilizing two trunks)

jebloome, that sound really cool is just waht I need. Can yo u tell me please how can I set this feature?.

I have a CS1000M.

I think the Network jebloome refers to is the telco. You would have to have them set up the trunks to recognise the code entered so they can redirect the call. This will of course be at a cost, especially if it turns into an LD call. Typically a set up cost, a cost per occurrance and then any LD. There may be more costs too, so make sure you ask them lots of questions when you ask about it.

Well, this seems to be a dead end, every time you involve the telco is always money involved.

Any way thanks folks for your help, I'll check wath the telco can do forme.

Thanks,
