[blue]I have a DB that is accessed by multiple users. Is there any way to compact the DB on a scheduled basis (e.g., daily)? Do I need to have exclusive access to the DB to do this? How do I kick everyone off prior to the DB being compacted?

Try Tools, Options, Compact on Close

It does what it says on the tin.

Trying to compact a database while other users have it open will cause a problem, so you do need exclusive access to do it. You may be forced to come in "after hours" to do it.

You could use the Windows Scheduled Tasks to open the database during closing hours, with the Compact on close Option'.
Add an autoexec macro with Docmd.Quit
