I have a question about Presentation Server 4.0 and Automatic client com port mapping.

The challenge:

Finding a method of automatic mapping of client com ports (in other words WITHOUT the use of commandline-scripts using Net Use and the like), thus allowing the use of equipment (card-reader/bank-terminal) on the client computers through an ICA-session.

The current setup:

Citrix Presentation Server 4.0, running on Windows Server 2003.

Have created a policy that has the Turn On Automat Virtual Com Port Mapping set to ENABLED, and the Turn Off Com Ports to DISABLED. This should, unless I've misunderstood both the whitepapers and such very wrong, allow for the automatic mappin of Com-ports on the clients. This does not happen. When I log onto the Desktop on the server and do a Net Use Com2: \\Client\Com1:, the port will be mapped and seemingly work O.K.

Have scoured the web and the Citrix.com Knowledgebase for two days, so I thought I'd try my luck here.

Another issue: Is there currently any way of automatic checks for new Hotfixes, and the possibility of Download/installation through a website or application, much like how WindowsUpdate works?

what version of PS4 are you using ? Standard or enterprise.

That would be Enterprise.
