Is there a way to get automated reports emailed about failed jobs. Something I could have sent to myself and manager so he can have an update of the jobs. We are running Netbackup 5.1 on a Windows 2000 Server.

all you need are bog standard notification mails from netbackup, but i use unix and its v easy to cinfigure, in windows i think u just use 'blat' to achieve the same thing.

BTW:

I am updating some of my scripts to produce the output in native HTML. This way you can build your own web page for Netbackup. I am doing this on a Sun system, so for you Unix people it will be good. I will also port it to Windows if I can figure out how to run some advanced Unix commands such as AWK in windows. I know I could always port it to Perl, but I am more comfortable with the Korn shell...

Is there any kind of setup to blat. I am not sure I know how to use it correctly.

bswip, would love to be able to produce those reports via a webpage. That sounds like a great idea.

Sorry for being such a novice at this, would appreciate any help you guys can give.

Thanks

The web page process actually is a script that formats the output in valid HTML 4.0 format. I am currently developing the Unix version first. I am hoping to have the Windows portion done in the next month, time permitting.
