We need to automate the production of a number of reports, saved as text, with parameters passed in. These reports need to be produced periodically. By the way, these are Crystal 8 reports.

I have looked at the Seagate website, and it's confusing. I can't make heads or tails about all their overlapping products.

I expect there are commnad line capabilities I could use, or maybe an API or two.

Any good tips?

Without using Seagate Info you can either build the report into an application which has a scheduling capability, or compile the report as an exe and schedule the report using the report distribution expert - downloadable from
<
The report distribution expert doesn't allow recurring schedules to be created.

I failed to mention Crystal Enterprise, which will also schedule reports.
