I currently use a manual button to activate night service. I'd like to change this to automate the service at 5:00PM weekdays and 24 weekends. How do I do this?

You need to set up your AA in VMail and set up your business hours schedule.

Under services->ringing service-Sched:Night->service: change to auto
under services-?common settings->schedule times->monday->night->Start time:----- stop time:-----
do same for each day of week

this is in addition to the aa changes.

If voting could really change things, it would be illegal.

Thanks for the fast response! Step one was easy. Step two: M-F is set for 8:00am to 5:00pm. Sat and Sun we're closed. Should the times be 12:01am to 11:59PM for the weekend? (Little confusing).

For AA, I only have one table and one greeting so it should play for all after hours times and days, but there is no "night" time setting, only evening. So, I'm not sure what to do here.

you have start time set at 5 pm and stop time set at 8 am. I would think start time at 1201 and stop time at 1200 should do it.

Start and stop times do not span days.
To turn off a service mode all day use a start time of 0000 and a stop time of 0000.
To have a service mode in effect all day use any identical start time and stop time with the exception of 0000
Example start 1100 1100 stop.
For your requirements:
M-F start 0800 stop 1700
S-S start 1700 stop 1700

For the voicemail:
Record a business greeting 1
Record a non business greeting 4
Set morning greeting to 1
Set afternoon greeting to 1
Set evening greeting to 4
Set non-business greeting to 4
Monday morning start 08:00 AM
Monday afternoon start 12:00 AM
Monday evening start 05:00 PM
Monday non-business start 05:00 PM
Copy to tues-fri
Saturday morning start 05:00 PM
Saturday afternoon start 05:00 PM
Saturday evening start 05:00 PM
Satruday non-business start 05:00 PM
Copy Saturday to Sunday.

Methodology:
Voicemail does not play a different greeting until it sees a scheduled time change in the AA table programming.
