Hello,
I have a database in which I import a table from another database. I saved the import steps for the table. Is there a way that I can invoke the saved import from vba?

Thanks

It's not going to be a regular job. For performance issues, and because of the frequency not being often, I don't want to link it.

Hi,

What do you mean by, "I saved the import steps for the table?"

What application? If MS Access, then please post in one of the MANY MS Access forums, like forum705.

I'm not quite sure what it is you are trying to do but if you are importing data to populate a table then try running a query rather than importing. For example, run a query from your Excel spreadsheet to obtain data from your Access data table.

I was able to accomplish the import by using a pass through query with an append query. I wanted to populate an access table with data from a remote database.

Thanks for all the help.
