Is it possible to automate the back-ups onto a network drive somewhere?

G3r is limited to using the Optical Media or tape. There are no provisions for LAN backup. I believe the same is true for Intuity/AUDIX.

How about the S8700 or the S8500 series? We are converting to those in the very near future.

Yes, S8500 & S8500 can be backed up to the LAN.

Beginning with Intuity AUDIX 5.1.46 you can also backup to the LAN via FTP.

4merAvaya - I'm so new this - what are the steps to backup the S500 to our LAN? I'm trying very hard to learn all this data stuff. Thanks! what are the pros and cons of backing up to the LAN? Thanks!

JAS04 I did not get any push back from the BP or Avaya. I purchased the system from a BP and it is maintained by Avaya. As a matter of fact the BP included updates to firmware as a line item in there install plan. The only problem was updating firmware on the 2420's. This is an outstanding item today.

Hope this helps
