Hi folks,
I want to automate several acrobat forms from vb.
The application will accept inputs such as Name, SSN, etc... and create an .FDF file. From there, I need the application to open the .PDF forms, import the data from the .FDF file, and print the forms.
Writing the .FDF file is no problem, but I'm looking for suggestions as to how to handle the open/import/print functions.

Thanks for your help!

No, I didn't think that it would be necessary.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

The easiest way to do this is probably to use some sort of ActiveX/COM object that allows you to manipulate Acrobat files.

Assuming that you have Adobe Acrobat then use theirs. Otherwise there are 3rd party control vendors that might have something that will work. If you are looking for something free then try download.com under Windows > Developer Tools > ActiveX.

Another option would be to learn the PDF spec and write these functions yourself but that will probably take a lot more time in the long run.
