Hi all. I work at a school where we have 10 PC's that are set to automatically login to the domain via the registry changes mentioned on the forum. Unfortunately, the mandatory profile that the workstations log in to is corrupt, preventing it from being found so I've been working on fixing that. This is creating a loop, i.e. I can't even boot into safe mode to change AutoAdminLogin back to 0 as, for some reasons, the changes don't save when trying to boot normally again.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can regain local admin control of these workstations?

Thx much, in advance, for any insight anyone might offer!

You can use a bootable CD-Rom program such as Bart PE or Knoppix. They have some built-in tools that should allow you to adjust the registry or browse to the ntuser.man file and change it so it is no longer mandatory.

Thx much, mofusjtf. I'll look into that. I've removed the .man from the ntuser file on the server as well.
