Hi

Tearing my hair with this one, so hopefully someone can help before I go bald!

Trying to get Directx9 to autoinstall using a batch file, does anyone know how to do this?

Tried all the usual switches etc to no avail.

btw, the installer that comes down from the microsoft site is a 300K installer which is complete useless when your doing a build as you may not have network / internet access.

Bit of background, using winnt.sif to autoinstall the OS plus ancillary applications using bootable CD, i've got the OS / Winzip / Adobe / IE6 SP1 all working and automated but unable to find a way of autoinstalling directx.

Please help!

Thanks in advance.
J.

Do you mean you haven't got the full install for directx?

No, I can install fine.. What i'm trying to achieve it to create a CD with all the required installation programs so that I can perform a complete automated / unattended installation with a bootable cd. I've pretty much achieved it just can't seem to be able automate the directx installation as microsoft don't provide a full installer, ie has to download required components from the MS site.

Thanks for the response, I did try the redistributable. However, I was unable to get this to install silently without user prompting.

Any thoughts much appreciated.

add the run once line calling for the install of directx with the /Q switch might need to specify the path.
