I have a user that has their own extension and voice mail, but they want a button programmed, that they can hit that will allow them to log into and check a different voice mail other than their own. Like a private line. I am not seeing how this is possible, since the 9611 always defaults to the local voice mail. They do not want it attached to their extension in any way. I have tried different things like the hunt group number for voice mail (1111) for example auto dial 1111*~w1234(the extension of the other vm)# but that just gives me a busy signal.

In most vm systems the user must press # when the vm system answers which should prompt the user to enter a different extension number

For Aura Messaging, use an autodial with [vm number]~p*~p#[new ext]# to automatically get to the password prompt for the other extension.

So for your example the string would look like 1111~p*~p#1234#

Doesn't give me the password prompt, it just says "that is an invalid password, try again" Right now I just have it so instead of defualting to his main VM, I did a 111~p# so it will directly ask for the mailbox number he is trying to check. The above 1111~p*~p#1234# won't say anything, just a beep, then the invalid password message. I will play around with it, see if I can't add in the password as well. Thanks!

Walk through the steps manually so you know exactly what to program on the button.
On my system (Aura Messaging), pressing the Message Button or dialing the access code brings me to the mailbox of the station. Pressing star (*) at that point brings me to the generic "Hello, to access your mailbox, press pound". Press pound/hash (#) then brings me to the prompt "Please enter your mailbox number."
