HI,
We have an Electronic Medical Record that is used in our ER which is web-based. The Auto-complete feature works within this program. Our physicians have gotten used to what is kept in the auto complete lists and have a fit when they are gone.
I have searched high and low on how to save these autocomplete lists in their profile or in a shared folder on the network so they never lose them.
Does anyone out there know if this can be done and how? We have Windows 2000 Professional and IE 6.0 Sp1 in the ER
thanks

The question seems to be...who's clearing the autocomplete, so that the MDs "have a fit when they are gone?"

To adjust autocomplete, go to Tools > Internet options > Content > Personal Information > Autocomplete. You can tweak the settings here.

You want to be sure that there are no progs installed that automatically clear autocomplete. You also might want to remove access to Internet Options interface as spec'd here:

That way, no one can inadvertently blow away their autocompelte history.

The only thing we changed was rolling the pc from one domain to another in which case the person gets a new profile. If I knew what to copy from the old profile I would do this and they wouldn't know the difference.
However whenever you update IE with a new version they all go bye-bye as well.
Big pain and we need to save them periodically so we can just reload them whenever this happens.
thanks
