I am just starting my business (I have been in the
CAD industry since 1989) and I need a good printer
for Architectural drawings (11x17) and also plotting
(24x36)

Anybody with tips on what's best (HP?)

At our office we have been using HP for years. We wore out our HP designJet 750C plus. It was great for its day. We now use a HP DesignJet 1050C Plus. We have 2 of them and they have worked great for us. They have many great functions and has a 36" paper carriage. It is very fast and very reliable. Upgradeablility is excellent. My opinion is HP is the way to go.

We have used the HP 1050C no problems at all, the Oce 9400 is good also. We have just started to use a Kipstar 2002 which seems better ( cheaper to run better output ) than the Oce so far.
