I have two seperate problems concerning AWU. First one is a 2250 console on rls 19.60. I know it is old but customer refuses to upgrade. The 2250, you press a LPK, then AWU, then room number, then AWU, then time for wake up. It does not display a prompt to enter time. It has been 10 years since I have programmed a system for this. It did work prior to 3 weeks ago. Any help would be appreciated.
The second problem is from the bkg terminal, you set wake up and it goes through, but it will not print out on printer. you can go into ld 37 and test printer and it tests fine. I have tried disabling tty and reenable and also did a cold reboot on system to no avail.

This is a long shot... but go to LD 21 and REQ PRT TYPE CDB.

Search all the OPT fields for XDP. If you see it, that is Exclude Digit Display. To fix it, in any OPT field, type IDP. It does not make sense, but as you said, it is an old release.

Also, is it possible the TNs are programmed as 1250?

TN's on console are built as a 2250. This was working until about 3 weeks ago. They are slow about calling in repairs. I will check to see if someone changed "IDP" though.

The reason I often suggest checking for XDP is because typing YES at the OPT prompt is the same as typing XDP.

OPT YES = OPT XDP - mnemonics were originally based on the DTMF Dial Pad letters.

I ran across a similar issue once and it was the RAN announcer defined for the automatic wake up that was broken and would not allow the console to set AWU.

Here are procedures for setting AWU from console:

To program a wake up call from an Attendant Console, follow these steps:
1 Press A. Wake Up.
The A. Wake Up, ICI, lpk, and S indicators light.
Note: If the displayed number is not the number requiring the wake up
call, dial the proper number.
2 Press the octothorpe (#).
If the A. Wake Up indicator remains on steadily, the dialed number is
valid. If it flashes, the number is invalid.
3 Dial the requested wake up time using a 24-hour format. Press
A. Wake Up again.
If the A. Wake Up indicator remains on without flashing, the requested
wake up time is acceptable; if it flashes, the time is not acceptable. Enter
the new time; if it is acceptable, the indicator goes on without flashing.
4 Press Rls to end the procedure.

I have also run into a scenerio where AWU stops working...just go into LD 12, do a change to the 2250 and re-type the AWU key. Used to have to do this once a month for an old property. Weird but it fixed the problem.
