Auto scan configured but still get Needs Attention, Scan Required

Internet Security 2006:

I have the auto scan feature set properly for once a week on an early Monday morning to run a complete scan. However every once in a while I get the notice Needs Attention and tells me I must complete a Full Scan. Why would this be since I have the scan already scheduled? How can I verify the scheduled scan is really taking place?
