Hi i'm working on a games retail database, i'm trying to create the form such that a picture/object box will play particular movies/clips from its assocatied table entries currently i have to double click on picture bx to open movie in Windows media player but i want to play it in the box either automatically or through command button

How could this be done?

Have you tried the FollowHyperlink method ?

Hope This Helps, PH.

When in VBE (Alt+F11) open the Object Browser window (F2), search it for FollowHyperlink and then feel free to play with the F1 key.

Seems you're playing with a to old version, sorry.

Another way (if your Windows is not to old ;-)):
Set Sh = CreateObject("WScript.Shell")
Sh.Run "\path\to\yourfile.avi"
