Auto Message Waiting

The auto message waiting feature is behaving strange. ON some phones it lights up just fine and on others nothing. We used 6408D+ and 6424d+ set on a definity g3v6. Can anyone help?

There are several threads dedicated to this type of issue. For myself, I've learned that there cannot be unlistened-to messages in the voicemail box when the light/button is programmed. If there are, the light never lights.

Don't u have to have a real station for the feature to work? Meaning u must have another station that is not a x port with the extension that u are trying to have a automessage waiting button on another station. That is still not clear, maybe that is because it is 1:55am?
