Auto inventory???

Is there a way to auto inventory a tape when it is placed in a tape device?? Arcserve does this, but i would rather put a tape in every day for the rest of my life before i went back to that piece of crapp.

I have seen that if you are running an auto loader you can build a batch file to inventory a certain slot or 2 and place that file as to run before the job starts under the advanced tab. I just cannot find any info out about a 1 slot loader.
