If I wanted to make a long distance call to the number
(361)555-2222 but I'm too lazy to dial that many digits, how can I set the switch to automatically insert 1361 anytime 555 is dialed? Thanks.

It's an option 11c.

1) Build a DMI table to insert the numbers that you want.
2) Assign the DMI to an RLI
3) assign the NPA to that RLI
DMI & RLI in LD86 and the NPA in LD90

Sorry maybe it is better to use SPN (555) instead of NPA.

ok, thanks I think I can handle that (I think)...a couple more questions though.

One of our departments wants me to build these tables for a large area surrounding Austin.

I would need to build a new DMI table for each prefix of each area code, right?

I was looking through their list and this would be 200+ area codes/prefixes...is this the programming I should use to accomplish this(if I decide to go ahead and do it)?

Any suggestions? Thanks.

yes you can do that, those number will go in as nxx's then convert to 1+npa when the switch sees them. there are some traps you'll need to watch for but it is doable
