Im trying to forward all email attachments that get received to a specific mail box to a mapped drive. Im using outlook. Can anyone help Cheers Max

You mean a drive on a file server or on a computer?

If anyone calls and says "I know a little something about computers" just tell them to reformat it.

That will not work Maxxos

If you just want to save them on a hard drive then create a .pst and set up your rules. But other than that marcs41 is right, as far as I know.

Maxxos, what are you trying to achieve anyway?

also, there is an inherent danger to automatically doing anything with attachments since most Virus are "attached" to many messages.

Good point, that is a bit why I asked what the purpose was.

Hi im here!

All I wanted was to know if there was a way to forward attachments to a mapped drive automatically so I can pick them upautomatically from an AS400 IFS. I have looked at the rules option within outlook and cant find a way to do it. Im sorry but I dont use outlook much only notes. so if someone could explain it step by step I would be most gratefull. I understand the security issues and the potential problem with viruses but this is for an internal transaction.
Cheers Max

There is no step by step, as what you want is not possible.
