I am having a lot of problems getting my macros to be automatically enabled at the startup in Excel 2000. I have changed my security setting to low but other users who use this file do not have the same settings and so they are prompted at startup to enable macros. I have read many posts about creating a script or changing the registry and do not understand how to do this. Also, there has to be an easier way to enable the macros at the startup through a sub auto_open or the workbook_open.

I am not very familiar with VBA but looking at the Object browser I have noticed XLRunAutoMacro, XLAutoOpen, and MacroOptions. Can any of these be used to enable macros at the startup??

Thanks in advance!

Assuming you have this macro

Sub test()
Your code
End Sub

Add this to your code

Sub Auto_Open()
test
End Sub

Hope this works

Thanks for your response but I don't want all of my macros to RUN at the startup. When Excel open, there is prompt to Enable or Disable macros. I would like for this prompt to NOT show up. Is that possible??
People who are going to be using my workbook dont understand that they need to enable the macros. Thanks

Thanks for the websites A.C. and Chris! Hopefully they will help me out!

I've recently developed a workbook for our guys and have inserted my own security certificate.

That way, they accept my certificate and never get asked again.
