Auto direct to HTTPS? 1

Hello everyone,
Simple question, can you set up your web browser to automatically use a Https address if there is one avaliable? I am currently using firefox 3

As an ecample, When I use webmail I need to instruct it to use "enhanced security" (meaning it uses the https address.)
everytime i clear my cookies/cache. Can i just get my browser to do this for me.
