auto confiigure before programming mlm007

i have a legend r7 v12, with 4 atl modules and the mlm007 (6 internet ports) in my carrier

I have installed the recently acquired mlm007.

The manuals I downloaded indicate that I have to run auto config as part of the set up process before I begin programming the mlm. The manuals also indicate that this cannot be done on mlmoo7. Do i need to do anything instead of running this auto config before I do the next steps in the manual to set up the voicemail?

I am a novice at this system, as I do not do this for a living and have appreciated the help I have received so far.

you can not do an auto conf. on a R 7 Legend it needs to be a Magix software , but with your ATL modules you can not do a Magix upgrade

I am not doing a Magix upgrade. I downloaded the manual for that because i was told the programming is the same.

Is it safe to go ahead and do the next step and skip the auto config, since I can't do it anyway?

You must have the wrong manual - the manual you need is for a Merlin Mail R3 - which is the same as the Merlin Legend Mail (007). As was explained earlier - autoconfigure is for Magix messaging systems only. Go back to the Avaya.com website and get the correct manual.

Yes - and if you clicked on "all documents" while you were in the Merlin Mail category - you will find the installation supplement for the 007 MLM as well as other useful docs - including the user and other guides, etc.
