I am sure what I need to do is simple to accomplish, I think I am just overlooking it in the help file or in google searches.

One page 21 I have a statement saying "Also Available in HID. See Page 63". Page 63 is in a seperate file of the same book. If the page number changes, how can I get the statement on page 21 to update automatically to the new page number when it changes?

So if page 63 changes to page 64, the statement on page 21 would change to "Also Available in HID. See Page 64".

I have merged the files for each section of the catalof into one file now. Do i still need a plugin or script to do this?

DO you happen to know of a totally free plugin that will accomplish this?

I have a pattern page in the catalog, and only 5 items throughout the catalog need a statement to refer to this pattern page. But if the page number of the pattern page changes, I can just update the "See Page #" statement on the 5 item pages manually. If I can remember to do it that is...

It would just be nice for it to happen automatically is all..

I don't know of a free one. You can look it up yourself using

Just update them yourself. Create a big note in your paste board that says, "CHECK THE CROSS REFERENCES!!!"

It would be nice to be automatic, but it's not.

Could you make the reference text an index, with the item currently on p63 as the only entry? I'm happy to say I've never made an index so I've no idea if this would work.

I wondered the same this just this morning...
I finally figured out how to make an index page for the back of the catalog. And I saw a function or something that said also see. But I Dont know if I cant make more than 1 index for the the file.
