I work for a school district and they want the main number to the building to hit the auto attendant first thing when a caller calls so the calls can be routed that way. How would I go about setting this up? The main number is setup as a hunt group and before the calls would ring the console phone.

Couple of questions. Do have vectoring enabled on the switch? Type cha vector 1 & see if a form comes up.

Do you have an announcment card int he switch?

Do you have audix Voicemail?

I can help you set it up if you give me the info.

Yes we have Audix Voicemail, no we dont have vectoring at all, and no announcement card. I have the auto attendant working now, the only thing is that the attendant console will ring and it wont hit the auto attendant until it reaches its cover. Im wishing to do away with the ringing and just have the auto attendant answer the calls, im sure i might have to do some reconfiguring just not sure where to start.

Send me your email, I will send you some excel sheets of a sample implementation that should help you out. Use the link below, you will get a message back from spamarrest, ust enter the word you see on the screen. Let me know what sort of trunking you have analogue or Megalink, what your VM hunt group is & the access code. Any other info such as your auto attendant choices, etc.

Simply add coverage path to the main number to send calls to Audix right away. So when calls come in the coverage path will send the calls automatically to the Auto Attendant
