Auto Attendant voice recording best practices?

First time poster here. I'm fairly new and inexperienced at the auto attendant on CM8.1. The audio file got deleted that was previously there. Does anyone have pros/cons for uploading a wav to the existing place holder? It's priority for one of the sites I assist with and any tips are appreciated. Thanks in advance

I'm assuming you are talking about an announcement stored in CM somewhere. I prefer to SCP/FTP the files to the media-gateway or VAL. If media-server I use the web UI.

If you have System Manager, uploading WAV files to multiple media-gateways is easy and can be found under Elements / Communication Manager / Call Center / Announcements. It's also easy to backup and download to your PC all the announcement files.

Thanks. My organization blocks the FTP via the System Manager. So SCP to the gateway is the only way for me unless physically at the site.
