Hi All
I have a remote site running off centralized mail and I want to send it to an auto attendant. My incoming call route sends the calls to a destination of "*80" which is a short code for the "voicemail node" feature with telephone number "AutoAttendant". When a call comes in or I dial *80 I get the message "You Have no new messages".

what have I done wrong?

Thank you in advance for you help

Mike

Thanks Guys,
I tried it both of those ways and I had no luck. I got either "you have no new messages" or "please enter extension number and #" . I usually send my ICR to a short code which sends the calls to a module flawlessly but it has not worked for me in this case. It's one of those IPO anomolies that I am yet to figure out. It seems rather simple doesn't it.
I appreciate all of your help greatly.
I am looking for some red flags that may be affecting calls from a remote site going to an Auto Attendant in a centralized mail scenario. Any suggestions?
Thanks
Mike

On the site where VM Pro reside you create a shortcode like this: *80/"modulename"/VoicemailCollect/0
On the remote site you create a shortcode : *80/N/Dial/IP Line ID

I have seen where modules in vmpro become completely unusable due to corruption. Try creating another seperate module different from the one you have been testing with. I have always used the shortcode startpoint method. Back in 2.1, they broke the VM:xxx method so I have always stayed away from that since.

The benefit is using that method the Call will failover to a group of the same name if your VM Server goes down, going to a shortcode does not do that...well before they changed the Incoming call routing it never.

ACS - IP Office Implement

I agree, the failover is an important feature. If it's set to a shortcode, the line goes dead after about 2 rings.
