In Exchange 5.5 I believe there was an option to set an "auto accept" of meeting requests so they appeared directlt in your calendar, rather than having to approve them via the email that is sent to your inbox.

Does anyone know how to do this under Exchange 2000?

The background to this is: someone will be making meeting requests in users calendars, which they will then be syncing to a palm, however the events don't sync if the email have not been approved.... :-(

Cheers,
Matt

If you are using Outlook 2000 or better as your client, select Tools > Options > Calender Options... > Resource Scheduling... > Automatically accept meeting requests and process cancellations. As the form warns you, you may need to change the calendar permissions if the user is running Outlook in offline mode.

Other clients: dunno.

I tried that and it did not do a thing :-(

I also not that on Exchange 5.5 the event appeard in the other peoples diaries even before they accept it, but this is not the case on my test Exchange 2k install at work. I'll check to see what happens with my Ex 5.5 install at home.

Cheers,
Matt
