AUTHORWARE IN GENERAL

There was a similar question posed awhile back & I'm too lazy to retype that it so here's the link:

To answer directly what Authorware is capable of, I'd say it's capable of anything you can imagine and lots more. It's a very extensible tool--if you can't do something natively in Authorware, you can use Xtras or ActiveX controls through Authorware so the sky's the limit.
The learning curve isn't nearly as steep as pretty much any other environment I've used, so you can pretty much just jump in head first and play around. Once you get at all used to Authorware, at least for me the greatest strength is how quickly you can build substantial multimedia & training programs.
One other note however--while there's a ton of sample files out there to help you do specific things, the vast majority of the actual online training materials created in Authorware is done so for commercial companies and is proprietary--so finding a full training system or course to look at might be difficult.
