Hi,

In a CM 2.2 system I have two groups of extensions:
group 1 - they do not use authorization codes
group 2 - they have to use auth codes for every call, because their FRL is low

Now I have to make it possible for the boss to use his auth code on telephones in group 1.

Users from group 1 should continue to use their telephones in the same way as they do now.

Please give me some ideas...

Hi,

Employees from group 1 should continue to use their telephones in a normal way - they receive dial tone and dial the numbers. They wouldn't like to dial authorization codes each time they call someone.
On the other hand, boss wants to make some international calls from their office.

There is only one trunk group for all types of calls (local, long-distance, international...)

Is there some feature code for this purpose ?
Are there some special ARS settings ?

Avaya documentation about authorization codes is very poor..

Hey Phoneguy55,

How is changing the COR on the station going to allow the boss to use auth codes while the normal user on the phone not have to use auth codes?

He is going to change the COR of the boss phone so that the boss has a higher FRL that the route.

My mistake. I read this wrong. I thought he wants the boss not to use auth codes.

Hi,

Yes, boss wants to walk around and make international calls....
