Up until last week i could run reports no problem.
Over the weekend win2003 sp1 was installed giving me authentication problems on reporting.
I have added my self to the local"distributed com" group but still no change.
Do you mean when you try and run the reports from SMS that are viewed in IE (by default)?
If so, the SP may have reset your internet security settings. Add the SiteServer machine account to Internet Explorer trusted sites.
If you are talking about something else. Post back
Hope this helps.

continued....if this is the issue you are having, rather than adding the Site Server Machine acocunt to the trusted sites in IE..... if you add the logged in user that you run SMS with, probably domainname\Administrator or domainname\SMSAdministrator, and add it to the local group "SMS Reporting Users" that should take care of it.
To add local users either use the Local Users and Groups MMC or from command prompt type
net localgroup SMS Reporting Users domainname\useraccount /add
