I am running samba 2.28 on a Sun fire 280R(Solaris9). When the server is browsed on a PC, it prompts for the username/password. The name of the server is serverx. If I enter //serverx/share....I get the prompt also. However, if I run //serverx.unclass.csco.us.com, the shares come right up. I have my workgroup set to unclass. Not sure where to go from here. The server and client have valid entries in the DNS. Thanks in advance for your help.....
